NORTH WILDWOOD — That rule didn't last long. Just weeks after implementing a ban on tents and canopies on the beaches, North Wildwood is giving the green light to most of these shade structures again — proof that officials put the ban in place simply because there wasn't enough room on the sand.
Caught in a ride-share, 2 Atlantic City, NJ, men charged with cell phone store burglary
Two men from Atlantic City have been charged following a burglary at a cell phone store over the long 4th of July holiday. The Atlantic City Police Department says their officers were called to the T-Mobile store on the 1400 block of Atlantic Avenue just after 6:30 Friday morning, July 5th, after two suspects had entered the business while it was closed and stole numerous cell phones and other items.
Blood and shrapnel: Bomb set off at Manville, NJ block party
MANVILLE — Police are looking for whoever set off an explosive device near a block party Saturday night that sent shrapnel flying into a man's torso. Deputy Police Chief Craig Jeremiah said an “improvised fireworks device” was detonated at Cooper Street Park around 8:15 p.m. as a neighborhood block party was going on nearby. The New Jersey State Police Bomb Squad was called to the park after the explosion.
