EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Rhode Islanders affected by the severe storms and flooding last December and January have just a few hours left to apply for federal recovery assistance.

The deadline to request relief from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is Monday, May 20. The funds are available to residents of Providence, Kent and Washington counties.

Anyone whose home was adversely impacted by the weather can visit DisasterAssistance.gov to apply.
