    Judge Caprio completes radiation treatment

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Retired Judge Frank Caprio is “on his way” after completing his last radiation treatment.

    “I rang the bell and am on my way to happy days,” he posted Friday on social media .

    Caprio announced in December that he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and has been getting treatment ever since.

    “My treatment’s done,” he said Friday. “This course is run, and I am on my way.”

    Caprio, famous for his television series “Caught in Providence,” served on the bench for nearly 40 years before retiring last year .
