FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — The Fall River trolley will start circling the city on June 1, allowing riders to hop on and off at 12 different stops.

Each stop will be marked with custom-designed signs that showcase area maps, key attractions and a QR code. Riders can scan the code for a ticketing portal and real-time tracking app.

Standard fare for the regularly scheduled trolley service is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children under 12 years old. For a limited time, children under 12 will ride for free as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

The city hopes the trolley will “enhance city exploration and connectivity.” Later in June, the city will be offering audio tours to give riders a “deeper insight into Fall River’s rich history and culture.”
