PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Even though fall isn’t in the air just yet, the Roger Williams Park Zoo is already gearing up for its ever-popular Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular.

This year’s spectacular runs from Sept. 27 through Nov. 2 and, as always, features thousands of intricately carved pumpkins.

There’s a brand new twist for this year’s spectacular, which has been dubbed the “Trivia Edition.”

The illuminated pumpkins will feature “tricky trivia” questions, with the possible answers carved straight into the gourds themselves. From pop culture to history, trivia buffs will have the chance to test their knowledge while enjoying one of New England’s favorite fall traditions.

Tickets officially went on sale Tuesday and can only be purchased online .

Here are this year’s Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular prices:

• Monday through Thursday
  Adults: $19
  Children: $16
  Toddlers: Free
• Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  Adults: $22
  Children: $19
  Toddlers: Free

The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular will be open rain or shine from 6-10:30 p.m. each night. Tickets aren’t refundable or exchangeable.
