Man wanted out of North Carolina arrested in East Providence

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Police arrested a Providence man wanted out of North Carolina for felony assault Wednesday night.

London Clyde, 45, was taken into custody at the Rumford Motor Inn in East Providence after investigators were tipped off that he had been staying there.

Clyde is being charged as a fugitive from justice in Rhode Island. He was wanted for aggravated assault with a firearm, as well as the sale or delivery of narcotics.
