21-year-old man dead in Woonsocket motorcycle crash

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that happened in Woonsocket on Saturday.

Police Chief Thomas Oates III told 12 News the motorcyclist was a 21-year-old North Smithfield man.

The crash took place on Truman Drive.

He lost control before going off the road and hitting a utility pole or light stanchion, according to Oates.

The motorcyclist’s name has not been released at this time.
