CUMBERLAND, R.I. (WPRI) — Cumberland is poised to get back to the Div. II title game this fall after falling to Barrington last season.

“Obviously we didn’t have the result that we wanted last year, so we’re even more hungry,” said Cumberland senior Andrew Nocera. “We’re just going to keep working hard and keep going because we know what it takes.”

“We’re not focused on November. It’s a week-by-week, game-by-game feel here,” Lima said.

Josh Lima’s program has over 90 players this year and thriving under his leadership.

The Clippers open their season on Sept. 13 hosting the Eagles in a rematch of last season’s championship game.

“I know they’re excited for it. We’re excited for it too,” he said.
