FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — After nearly two decades of service, Southcoast Woman’s Care announced on Friday that it will be closing its office next year.

In a Facebook post , the OB-GYN practice, located on Hanover Street, stated it will permanently shut down on February 28, 2025.

“SWC has worked tirelessly over the last couple of years to prepare our practice for some anticipated changes,” the statement read. “Unfortunately, we have exhausted all options and have been unable to come up with a viable solution, despite all our efforts. The decision to close was not taken lightly and we are well aware of the impact this has on our patients, our staff, our providers, and our community.”

Patients were also advised to transfer their care to other local OB-GYN offices.

12 News will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
