    Cranston police investigating home invasion

    CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Cranston police are investigating a home invasion that happened on Saturday night.

    According to police, around 10 p.m., officers were called to a home on Pengrove Street for a report of an armed home invasion.

    The caller, who was inside the home, along with three other people at the time, said the suspects were still in the home.

    Officers responded to the scene and arrested Jaden Thomas Bourgeois, 18, of Cranston.

    Police said another suspect took off from the area on foot.

    Bourgeois was charged with burglary, felony assault, weapons other than a firearm (machete) and conspiracy.

    Police are still investigating the incident.
