2024 High School Football Preview: West Warwick

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) – West Warwick is making the move to Div. II this fall after making it to the Div. III title game last year. The Wizards are excited to embrace the challenge of a new division.

“We get to play better competition. We get to have some really solid football games. Not that we didn’t in Division III, but every week we’re going to see tough competition which is good for the boys,” said head coach Wesley Pennington.

“We want to prove that we’re more than the DIII championship loss team. We can compete in DII,” said junior quarterback Nathan Corona.

West Warwick will host East Providence to open its season Saturday at Noon.
