SEEKONK, Mass. (WPRI) — The Irish sports pub in Seekonk that closed earlier this year to make way for a Whole Foods Market will soon be no more.

The Seekonk Building Department recently issued a demolition permit for the Dublin Rose and the connected Clarion Hotel, according to Town Planner John Aubin.

Aubin confirmed that a building permit has also been secured to construct the new supermarket.

Right now, the town is working with the owner of the Fall River Avenue property to conduct public safety training before demolition officially begins.

There’s no timeline yet on when the restaurant and hotel will be torn down.
