    USPS announces holiday shipping recommendations for 2024

    WASHINGTON (WPRI) — The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has announced its optimal shipping dates for the 2024 holiday season.

    If you want your letters or packages to arrive before Dec. 25, here are the recommended send-by dates:

    Mail Service Mail-by date for contiguous U.S. Mail-by date for Alaska and Hawaii
    USPS Ground Advantage Dec. 18 Dec. 16
    First-Class Mail Dec. 18 Dec. 18
    Priority Mail Dec. 19 Dec. 19
    Priority Mail Express Dec. 21 Dec. 20

    If you’re shipping items internationally or by military mail , the USPS recommends sending them even earlier.

    INTERNATIONAL MAIL

    Mail Service Mail-by date for Africa, Central & South America Mail-by date for all other regions
    First-Class Package International Dec. 2 Dec. 9
    Priority Mail International Dec. 2 Dec. 9
    Priority Mail Express International Dec. 9 Dec. 16

    MILITARY MAIL
