NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — A house fire that happened in New Bedford early Sunday morning has displaced four people.

Crews responding to Humphrey Street around 2:24 a.m. found smoke coming from a second floor rear window, according to a social media post by the city’s fire department.

The department said nobody suffered any injuries, but four adults living in the home were displaced and are being helped by the American Red Cross.

An investigation into what caused the fire is underway.
