2 pedestrians hit by car in Cranston

CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway after two pedestrians were hit and seriously injured by a car in Cranston Monday evening, according to police.

The pedestrians were hit while crossing the street at the intersection of Park Avenue and Sunset Terrace just after 7 p.m.

Police said both pedestrians, who have not been identified, were brought to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.

It’s unclear if the driver, who is cooperating with the investigation, will be facing any charges at this time.
