A man was killed in a crash in Fayette County on Tuesday night.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Route 51 and Upper Middletown Road in Menallen Township around 9:30 p.m.

Pennsylvania State Police said a Ram Rebel was driving south on Route 51 and a Hyundai Elantra was going north. The Ram crossed the median and went south into oncoming traffic, hitting the Hyundai head-on.

The driver of the Elantra died at the scene. He has been identified as John Humbert, 65, of Donora, according to Fayette County Coroner Dr. Bob Baker.

The other driver was flown to a hospital in Morgantown.

The injured victim’s condition has not been released, but Dr. Baker says they are expected to survive.

The Pennsylvania State Police are handling the investigation.
