Highs will climb back into low 90s on Tuesday

Steamy summer heat settles in the next few days. Highs will climb back into the low 90s Tuesday, with heat index readings climbing into the mid-90s. Hotter, more humid weather will be in the area Wednesday making it uncomfortable and potentially dangerous.

With a heat index pushing near 100 Wednesday, the risk heat related illnesses will be on the rise. Stay hydrated and have a spot to cool off.

The threat for strong to severe storms will also increase Wednesday, with any storm that develops capable of bringing heavy downpours, frequent lightning and damaging wind gusts.
