Police are investigating an early morning shooting in Clairton.

The Allegheny County Police Department tells Channel 11 that it responded to a “disturbance” near the intersection of State Street and Shaw Avenue around 4 a.m. Sunday. They arrived to find people fighting in the street and while on scene heard multiple shots fired into the crowd around 4:10 a.m.

A man was killed and two other men were hurt in the shooting, according to police.

The man who died was able to leave the area after being shot but crashed his vehicle on State Street, flipping the vehicle and shearing a utility pole near a Speedway on State Street.

The injured men were taken to hospitals in the area, and they are stable.

One person was detained on scene.
