A few showers will start the day again Thursday, but heavy rain is not expected for the morning commute. Some patchy fog may develop in spots too, so plan for wet roads, lower visibility and a slower commute.

The rest of the day looks dry, but cloudy skies will stick around.

The remnants of Hurricane Helene will start to impact our area Friday with winds picking up and a few showers developing. Right now, the current forecast keeps the heavy rain well south of Pittsburgh, but the outer rain bands of the storm will start to move into Western Pennsylvania by Friday afternoon and evening, so have the rain gear with you for Friday night football games.

Wind gusts 20-25mph will also be possible.

Severe Weather Team 11 is watching the development of this system and it’s potential impacts closely so check back often for updates.
