Several roads were shut down due to police activity in the Pine Township area Wednesday afternoon.

Police were in the area of Babcock Boulevard near Valencia Borough and the Butler County line. The Northern Regional Police Chief Bryan DeWick said authorities were making sure a woman who lives inside a home in the area was OK. The chief later confirmed the woman was safe.

All roads that were closed in the area have reopened.

DeWick said there was never any danger to any of the surrounding homes or the public.
