A crowd is already building in Butler ahead of former President Donald Trump’s return on Saturday evening.

The Butler County Sheriff tells Channel 11 he expects anywhere from 50,000 to 60,000 people to be in attendance and there will be multiple drones up and a significant law enforcement presence, both in uniform and under cover.

We have Team 11 coverage as Trump’s return to the Butler Farm Show grounds gets closer.

“We were here we were right across the street from where the shooter was the first time on July 13th we saw everything that happened we heard the shots,” Billy Bailey, a vendor, said.

Bailey is one of the vendors Channel 11 saw set up ahead of the big event, telling us it was important for him to come back.

“I’m excited about just to return see and let him finish his rally and give the message of to the American people and people of Butler,” Bailey said.

Trump’s running mate JD Vance and Tesla CEO Elon Musk will be at the rally.

Butler County Sheriff Mike Slupe said the security perimeter is bigger. We put up Drone 11 to show you the rally site. You can see trailers lined up near where the stage is expected to be.

“I think everyone will be just fine cause the security will be super tight this time,” Karen Sergison, from Michigan, said.

The secret service sent Channel 11 a statement saying, “We are coordinating closely with state police and local law enforcement in and around Butler Township. We are also leveraging other federal security resources to expand personnel and technology.”

The district attorney tells Channel 11 he is confident things are going to be done correctly this time.

Slupe said there will be one command center with all the agencies helping with security.

Doors open for the Trump rally at 10 a.m. Saturday. Vance is expected to give his remarks at 4:30 p.m. and then Trump will take the stage right after, with plans to honor Corey Comperatore and the two men who were shot and survived.
