Opelika Middle School announces new principal

OPELIKA, Ala. ( WRBL ) — Opelika Middle School (OMS) announced Kristen Williamson will be its new principal.

Prior to taking on this role, Williamson was assistant principle at both Auburn Junior High School and South Girard Junior High School.

Superintendent of Opelika City Schools Dr. Farrell Seymore said Williamson’s leadership capacity and strong background will be assets to the school system.

“We are excited to welcome Kristen Williamson as the new principal of Opelika Middle School,” Seymore said.

Williamson said she is “thrilled” to be returning to Opelika City Schools.

“I look forward to fostering strong relationships with those I will serve,” said Williamson
