Portions of 13th Street bridge closing to the public

PHENIX CITY, Ala. ( WRBL ) — The 13th Street Bridge in Phenix City is closed due to erosion issues as of Thursday morning.

Todd Hughes, the Director of Parks and Recreation, released a statement saying a portion of the Phenix City River walk is closed until further notice. This specifically impacts the area under and around the bridge.

Portions of the river walk from the Phenix City Amphitheater to 13th Street and north of the 14th Street Bridge are still open to the public at this time.
