LOACHAPOKA, Ala. (WRBL) – A beloved Loachapoka High School student-athlete was killed, and another student was injured in a Thursday night shooting in Notasulga, Macon County.

Sheriff Jay Jones confirms Javion Gary, 16, was shot and killed. Notasulga investigators tell WRBL the shooting happened near the 100 block of Union Camp. Gary was found deceased at the scene. We are told there are persons of interest in the shooting. Details regarding what led to the shooting are still under investigation.
