Columbus Animal Care & Control holds free microchipping event on Aug. 15

COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — Columbus Animal Care & Control will host a free microchipping event.

“National Check the Chip Day” is celebrated every year on Aug. 15, recognizing the importance of microchipping pets. One benefit it serves is helping missing pets reunite with their owners.

The center says residents of Muscogee County can have their pets microchipped for free Thursday at the Citizen Center on Citizens Way.
