Alternative Baseball returns to Columbus, encourages inclusivity through Sports

COLUMBUS (WRBL) – The Alternative Baseball Organization has been providing an authentic Baseball experience to people with disabilities since 2016. Taylor Duncan, the organization’s founder, battled autism as he grew up with a desire to play Baseball.

Duncan has given many others who confront misconceptions about their disabilities a chance to be a part of a team and develop their skills. The organization has spread to national acclaim due to the purpose behind it.

The Alternative Baseball Organization’s movement came to Columbus on Saturday, as it held it’s annual “Playing for Community Integration Celebrity Baseball Game”. This event was formerly held at Synovus Park, but was moved to Ragsdale Field at Columbus State University due to construction at the former site.
