Fitness workshops, nutrition counseling and more coming to ‘Mega Wellness Event’ in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — Locals are invited to attend a wellness-centered event later in August.

On Saturday, Aug. 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., CareSource is holding a “Mega Wellness Event” at American Legion Post 35.

It’s free and open to the public.

According to a news release, attendees should be able to find these resources at the event:

• “Check-ups for CareSource members
• Health screenings
• Mobile health units
• Fitness & wellness workshops
• Nutrition counseling
• Food, games, music, fun and giveaways”

CareSource is a non-profit managed care organization . According to the foundation’s website, CareSource administers one of the largest Medicaid managed care plans in the U.S.
