UPDATE: CPD investigating deadly shooting at Grove Park apartment complex

UPDATE 8/28/24 9:00p.m. — The Columbus Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating Tuesday night’s deadly shooting at the Grove Park Apartments.

Tuesday around 8:55 p.m., police found the victim, 24-year-old Jabreia Burston, in the parking lot injured from being shot. Burston was taken to Piedmont Columbus Regional, where she died Wednesday at 3:15 p.m.

Police urge anyone with information on this case to contact Cpl. C. Alexander at 706-225-4263 or by emailing calexander@columbusga.org.

COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — The Muscogee County Coroner has confirmed one person has died after a shooting Tuesday night.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan says 24-year-old Jabreia Burston was pronounced dead by a ICU Physician after suffering multiple gunshot wounds.
