Update: Multiple people injured in rollover crash on J.R. Allen

UPDATE 5:12 p.m. — The Columbus Police Department has confirmed multiple people were injured in a roll-over wreck involving a dump truck and 18 wheeler on Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, none of the injuries are life-threatening.

The crash happened at J.R. Allen and Veterans Parkway.

The scene is clear, police say.

COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — First responders are working to clear a wreck at a major Columbus intersection on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Columbus Police Department, the crash at J.R. Allen and Veterans Parkway involved a dump truck and an 18 wheeler.

Our reporter on the scene says U.S. 80 westbound is closed between the Veterans Parkway exit and Interstate 185.

The public is asked to avoid the area if possible.
