Sunday is starting out fabulous with temps in the 60s and dewpoints down into the 50s, definitely a taste of Fall is in the air. We’ll some clouds around today with a stray shower possible late, but most of you will stay dry with highs in the mid 80s.

Monday through most of Wednesday we stay dry with a mix of sun and clouds at times and highs in the mid to upper 80s. Overnight lows will be quite comfortable, down into the mid 60s.

Late Wednesday we really start to feel the return of moisture and we turn mostly cloudy as a system, currently Invest 91-L, is expected to form in the Gulf, which would be named Francine. Based on the what the models are currently showing us as regards to the track, the system looks to stay come ashore in Louisiana, move northeastward into Mississippi and West Alabama. If that holds true, we will see some scattered showers and storms locally, with the most impacts being felt Thursday and Friday. A further jog eastward, increases our impacts, whereas a jog further west, decreases our impacts.

Next weekend, there’s still some uncertainty as there could be some leftover wrap around moisture from out tropical system, keeping the chance for showers in the forecast.

There’s still some uncertainty as to the strength and the eventual landfall/location of our potential tropical system, so stay tuned to WRBL News 3’s First Alert Weather Team for the latest, and the potential impacts on our area.

Thanks for watching WRBL News 3 and have a great week! Brian
