Multiple arrests made in shooting investigation of Manchester woman who was shot in her bed

MERIWETHER COUNTY, Ga. ( WRBL ) — The Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office says multiple people have been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a Manchester woman found shot in her bed.

According to Meriwether County Sheriff Chuck Smith, multiple unnamed suspects were arrested early Friday morning as a result of an investigation into the shooting death of 46-year-old Kim Harvey-Pollard.

“Through the culmination of the efforts of our criminal investigators and surrounding agencies we have since obtained numerous arrest and search warrants for multiple suspects and locations,” said Smith.

The investigation began in March of 2023, when Harvey-Pollard was found shot multiple times in her bed by deputies dispatched to her home. EMS transported Harvey-Pollard to Roosevelt Memorial Airport where she was air lifted to a local hospital. Smith says she later succumb to her wounds.

Since then investigators have been working to identify those involved with her death.

Smith says in the early hours of Sept. 13, Meriwether County Deputies and other outside agencies conducted a “covert operation” that involved executing multiple arrest and search warrants.

“These arrests are related to criminal street gang activity and the senseless murder of Kim Harvey-Pollard,” said Smith.

Smith added more details will be released at a press conference next week. A specific date has not yet been announced.
