COLUMBUS, GA (WRBL)- Flooding remains the biggest threat across the Chattahoochee Valley, with some areas, mainly south of Columbus, receiving 3-4 inches of rain. These are the same areas that received between 4-8 inches of rain on Friday. Rain will continue off and on for the remainder of the afternoon and early evening, rain may be heavy at times.

Be extremely careful around any flooded roadways, and never enter any flooded roadway that your unsure of how deep it is.

The chance for showers and storms remains elevated through Sunday before we start to see those rain chances dip and the sunshine returns. We’ll see spotty showers through Wednesday with drier conditions expected Thursday and Friday. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s the first of the week, then the later half should warm up into the upper 80s.

Next weekend, an isolated shower or two we be back in the forecast, but many of you will remain dry as rain chance are pretty low.
