COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Beautiful to end the week with a mixture of sun and clouds and warm temperatures, highs for Friday reached the upper 80s to low 90s. We’ll continue to stay calm and dry this evening with temperatures dropping to the 80s.

No major changes this weekend as high pressure remains dominate, look for a mixture of sun and clouds and highs in the 90s, very slim chance for a pop-up shower during the afternoon but I expect most to stay dry.

The week will be fairly calm with a mixture of sun and clouds , a cold front will arrive by midweek but rain is not expected.

    Tropics:
Area of concern for development across the western Caribbean will likely end up in the Gulf of Mexico by late next week. This is potentially where our tropical moisture will come from and model guidance develops this into a hurricane. But still a lot of uncertainties in our forecast by the end of next week.
