COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — Wednesday saw three men arrested on numerous outstanding warrants as part of the Columbus Police Department Fugitive Unit’s warrant roundup.

Police say they arrested Esa G. Brooks, 46, James H. Smith, 55, and Lend Linson, 31. All had outstanding warrants for their arrest.

According to CPD, Linson barricaded himself inside his residence at Farley Homes during the operation. After Linson’s arrest the CPD’s Drone Unit was used to clear the house, an action police say helped minimize the risks to the community and officers.

Police say Linson was charged with misdemeanor obstruction and possession of a fire arm by a convicted felon in addition to his outstanding warrants of:

    • Three warrants for cruelty to children in the third degree
    • Two warrants for aggravated assault
    • Five warrants for terroristic threats
    • One warrant for convicted felon in possession of a firearm
    • Two warrants for battery
    • One warrant for burglary
    • One warrant for criminal damage to property in the second degree
    • Two warrants for possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
    • Pointing a gun

CPD says Brooks was arrested on warrants of battery (family violence) and aggravated assault. Smith was arrested on a warrant for burglary.
