( WRBL ) — By the end of Halloween night, a trick-or-treat basket is bound to hold an abundance of different flavors, textures and tastes.

Here in Georgia, we apparently prefer our baskets full of a sour, fruity, hard candy hailing all the way from Golden, Colorado.

According to a study conducted by CandyStore , Jolly Rancher holds the number one spot in Georgia’s candied heart.

Swimming into second place is another fruit-forward classic — Swedish Fish, and coming in at third, we finally find some chocolate with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

South Dakota is the only other state in the U.S. to designate Jolly Rancher as their Halloween favorite, CandyStore reports.

Our neighbors over in Alabama also seem to favor the fruit-focused options. Skittles holds the number one spot for Alabamians, while Hershey’s Mini Bars come in second, and Starbursts land at number three.

This preference for fruit-flavored candy may not entirely be based off of tastebuds. According to NewsNation, retailers are stocking their shelves with less chocolate .
