Please stop pretending that this growth is driven by anything other than a love of money. How is overpopulating a small area supposed to INCREASE the quality of life when it creates a need for exponentially more resources across the board to even sustain, let alone enrich that community? Not every town needs to be some bustling metropolis just bursting at the seams with people living on top of each other. Those of us who are already struggling to afford the privilege of being able to pay their rent have to helplessly sit by and watch every number in their budget skyrocket except for their wages and quite simply, that is anything but increasing the quality of life. It's plain to see who benefits from this growth and it is surely not anyone who ever has to wonder or worry about having enough money to live.
