MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Four years ago Edward Bogard took the course at TPC Southwind as a starter on the first tee.

Little did he know when he signed up, he would be the first Black starter in the tournament’s history which dates back to 1958.

Like many who are involved with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Bogard is a philanthropist and spreads his awareness of giving through his sneaker company SoGiv.

Bogard debuted the Gray “Hush Ya’ll” shoes that provide not only style but are the perfect accessory to follow the world’s best golfers around the course.

But mostly Bogard wants to give 100 percent of the money earned for each pair of shoes sold back to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

” Every pair of soles we give, we want to take the ‘SO’ out of sole and the ‘GIV’ out of give and through the organization we raise awareness toward worthy causes and we donate 100 percent of the proceeds to an organization and its causes,” said Bogard.
