    Teen dead after car strikes tree in Jonesboro, Arkansas

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. —  A teenage boy is dead after crashing his car into a tree early Thursday morning in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

    At 6:20 a.m., police say they responded to a crash on the south side of Magnolia Road.

    According to reports, driver William Coffman, 18, of a 2024 Toyota Corolla was traveling East on Magnolia Road just West of Winesap Drive. The boy struck a tree after he left the roadway.

    Jonesboro Police say the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

    He was taken to the county coroner’s office.
