MLGW monthly bills are going up

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Light, Gas, and Water says residential customers can expect a monthly increase of about $4.

MLGW announced on X that the TVA board voted Thursday to enact a FY25 5.25% base rate increase to provide the needed resources to meet demand and load growth.

MLGW did not say when the increase will take effect, but it said one way customers can offset higher rates is by lowering consumption.
