Fun weekend events happening in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It’s finally Friday, so it’s time to take a look at several events happening across the greater Memphis area this weekend.

There is something for everyone to do, let’s get started with the Memphis Redbirds . They have home games all this weekend against the Charlotte Knights.

Friday night is for the kids with inflatables and fun in the kid zone. Saturday night is comic book jersey night with the first 1500 fans getting a free jersey. Sunday is ice cream Sunday with each kid getting a free ice cream sandwich.

Friday night is also the next to last Live at the Garden for the summer and Sam Hunt will be performing.

General admission tickets are still available and gates at the Botanic Garden will open at 6 p.m. The show starts at 8 p.m.

Saturday is Country Fest at the Southland Casino Hotel . The show’s headliner is Tyler Farr.

This event is for ages 21 and up. General admission and open seating are $30 and the gates open at noon.

Woofstock at Loflin Yard will be taking place on Saturday as well. All kids and pups get in free.

Donations of $30 will get you a limited edition cup, a wristband for $5 drinks, and a printed photo from the photo booth. There will be live music, a silent auction, and a dog costume contest.

Woofstock is from noon until 4 p.m.

On Sunday, the Sandman is coming to Memphis Wrestling .

All of the fan-favorite Memphis wrestling stars will be there as well. It will take place at the Memphis Wrestling Wrestle Center on Winbrook Drive at 1:30 p.m.
