CORINTH, Miss. — Those who regularly shop at the Medical Plaza Pharmacy in Corinth, Mississippi, were left confused on Thursday after armed agents, for reasons unknown, would not allow anyone inside.

WREG went to Corinth to try getting answers into what investigators were looking for at the pharmacy.

On Friday, it appeared to be business as usual at Medical Plaza Pharmacy, a far cry from Thursday morning when armed agents would not allow customers inside.

One customer says she and her husband were told to go through the pharmacy’s drive-thru.

“We went to the window and everybody that was at the window was having to leave because they wouldn’t let nobody in the building,” said the woman.

The woman’s husband says he saw several armed agents.

“There was two guarding the door here and about four, three or four at the back,” said the man.

It was a confusing and concerning morning for customers.

“As far as knowing what was going on, we do not know what was going on. We haven’t heard anything. We haven’t asked any questions,” said a customer.

Reports say neither Corinth Police nor the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Department was involved on Thursday.

We were told the owner of the pharmacy was not available on Friday, and no employees were willing to talk. No one in the business near the pharmacy would talk either.

But, whatever happened Thursday won’t stop devoted customers from returning.

“I think it’s very good. Very good people. Very good business,” said a customer.

The U. S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Mississippi would not comment and we’re waiting to hear back from the DEA about whether their agency was involved.
