MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are looking for a trio of suspects they say assaulted a man after he stopped them from buying beer at a gas station.

On Friday at 1:30 p.m., officers responded to an aggravated assault at 2980 Broad Avenue at Valero.

Officers were told that a suspect entered the business and attempted to purchase beer. The victim told the clerk to check his identification because he knew that the suspect was underage from prior encounters.

The suspect began cursing and making threats towards the victim. He then walked towards the door and called two other suspects to come inside.

The first suspect then walked up to the victim and began bumping him with his chest.

When the victim escorted the suspects towards the door, the second suspect took a drink without paying.

While in the doorway, the victim took the drink from the second suspect. The first suspect then punched the victim in the face.

When they were outside the business, the victim and the first suspect began punching each other. The second suspect pulled out a small, black handgun and began chasing the victim through the parking lot.

The suspects left the scene in a red Chevrolet Malibu.

Memphis Police say that no arrests have been made, but this is still an ongoing investigation.

Should’ve whooped their asses. Their pants were damn near down. Would’ve been an easy defeat.
