MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is dead after an overnight shooting at an apartment complex in Fox Meadows, police say.

Around 12:50 a.m., officers say they responded to a shooting at the Highland Hills Apartments located in the 2800 block of Fosterwood Avenue. Police say a male victim was found and pronounced dead at the scene.

MPD says no suspect information is available at this time, but this is still an ongoing investigation.

One Memphis mother who has lived at the apartment complex for the past four years says she is not sure how much longer she will call the area home.

“At this point, it is time to move,” said the woman.

She says she fears that she or her children could find themselves in harm’s way.

    “This keeps happening,” she said.

This was a bold attack, according to neighbors. They say after the shooting, the gunman didn’t run away, instead in their words, he casually walked away.

We reached out to management at the complex for a response. We have not heard back.
