    Man critically wounded in South Memphis shooting

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was left critically injured after an overnight shooting in South Memphis, police say.

    According to reports, around midnight, officers responded to a home in the 2000 block of Lowell Avenue regarding a shooting.

    A male victim was found at the scene and taken to Regional One Hospital in a non-critical condition. Police say his condition was later upgraded to critical.

    When WREG crews arrived at the scene, at least 50 evidence markers were found.

    No suspect information is available at this time, but this is still an ongoing investigation.
