Man dead following car crash on Park Avenue

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is dead and a woman is injured after an early morning car accident near the Messick Buntyn area, police say.

Just after 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at Park Avenue and Maxey Street.

A man was found suffering from injuries and taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition where he was later pronounced dead.

A woman was taken to Methodist Central Hospital in non-critical condition.

Police say this is still an ongoing investigation.
