    MPD seizes 21 guns, switches, drugs from two homes

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. –Police say they confiscated nearly two dozen firearms, several illegal machine gun conversion devices, and various drugs during searches at two homes in a Southwest Memphis neighborhood on Monday.

    Four people are facing charges after police say they received a Mayor’s Action Complaint.

    MPD said its Multi-Agency Gang Unit, assisted by the MPD Fugitive Unit and the ATF Strike Force, executed a search warrant at the 3600 block of Skylark Drive and the 3600 block of Fieldlark Drive after receiving complaints about illegal activity.

    Investigators said they recovered two pistols, a rifle, marijuana, assorted drug paraphernalia and assorted ammunition at the house on Skylark and took Keithland Scott, 47, into custody.

    Officers said Scott had a warrant for aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. He was also charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

    During the search on Fieldlark, investigators said they located four machine gun conversion devices, 12 pistols, six long guns, marijuana, THC gummies, phentermine, hydrocodone, cash, cell phones, a money counter, assorted drug paraphernalia, assorted magazines, and ammunition.

    Police said three of the weapons were stolen, and six had switches on them. Three people at the home were also arrested.

    Cridarious Anderson, 29, was charged with 18 counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, six counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, to wit, a machine gun, three counts of theft of a firearm, and possession of marijuana with intent to manufacture/deliver/sell.

    Jaqavious Anderson, 26, was charged with 18 counts of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, six counts of possession of a machine gun, and three counts of theft of a firearm.

    Diamond Porter, 22, was arrested on a warrant for domestic assault and violation of probation. She was also charged with six counts of possession of a machine gun and three counts of theft of a firearm.

    Scott was released from jail on his own recognizance. Jaquavious Anderson is being held on a $500,000 bond, Cridarious Anderson’s bond was set at $100,000, and Porter’s bond is $44,000.

    Memphis police say this arrest is an example of how tips from the public can help fight crime.
