Fun weekend events happening in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It’s finally Friday, so it’s time to take a look at several events happening across the greater Memphis area this weekend, however, this is a special 901-day edition.

Let’s get started with 901 days in the Ravine . All weekend from Friday through Sunday there will be special events at the Ravine and Memphis Made’s new taproom.

On Friday night they will have Memphis-themed movies. Saturday and Sunday there will be live music.

Railgarten is also hosting a weekend-long celebration with live music by local bands. You can purchase single-day passes for $20 to $30 depending on the day. Weekend passes are $60.

Sunday is the annual 901 celebration on Beale Street . There will be a flash mob where you can see the city’s signature dance style – jookin’, youth talent showcase, poetry, and even a fashion show.

The headliner for the music is Big Boogie.

On Sunday, Grind City Brewing is hosting its 4th annual 901-day.

There will be $5 beer, seltzers, and sours all day, free pet and people caricatures from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Oktoberfest Steins sales will officially begin.

Also happening on Sunday from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m., there is a truly unique way to celebrate 901 day. How about getting hitched by the ditch ?

This event is at Wiseacres’ original location on Broad Avenue. There will be four back-to-back ceremonies and then a big Memphis-themed party for anyone who wants to attend.

There are still a few spots to claim if you want to get hitched. The cost of the wedding is $300.
