    North Memphis house fire leaves two firefighters injured

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A house fire in North Memphis left two firefighters injured on Thursday morning, according to the Memphis Fire Department.

    MFD says they responded to the 600 block of Ayers Street regarding a house fire that was caused by arson. The fire reportedly started in the back entryway into the kitchen.

    As a result, two firefighters suffered minor injuries. They were both taken to Regional One Burn Center for treatment.

    There was also a total of $39,000 worth of damage to the home due to the fire.
