    Hardeman County commissioner charged with operating chop shop

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A county commissioner from Hardeman County, Tenn. has been arrested and charged with operating a chop shop, and 13 counts of theft $2,500-$10,000.

    Joseph Jenkins, of Grand Junction, was booked into the Hardeman County Jail on Monday and is held on $50,000 bond, according to records from the sheriff’s department. He has a court date set for Sept. 17.

    Hardeman County’s website lists Jenkins as a District 1 commissioner on the ambulance, building, civil, and law enforcement committees.
