    One critical, one detained in Hickory Hill shooting

    UPDATE: The male shooting victim later died at the hospital, Memphis Police say.

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A shooting near Hickory Hill left a man in critical condition Wednesday night, and police have one person detained.

    Memphis Police say they responded at 8 p.m. to a shooting in the 5800 block of Ridgehill Drive, off Hickory Hill Road.

    The victim was taken to Regional One in critical condition. Police are checking area hospitals to see whether there are any other victims.
